Welcome to the official website of the 2005 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships as hosted by the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The city of Omaha is the nation’s 45th largest city and is home to numerous nationally and world-renowned attractions. Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is home to an IMAX Theater and the world’s largest indoor rain forest and geodesic desert dome. The Old Market District is known for its historic flavor while offering unique shopping and dining experiences. The city of Omaha has experienced rapid growth over the past few years with the opening of the Qwest Center Omaha Convention Center and Arena last year and the brand new Village Point Shopping Center in West Omaha this year.

Located in the heart of the city, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, founded in 1908, has excelled both academically and athletically. A member of the North Central Conference since 1977, UNO has established itself as one of the most elite athletic programs in Division II, winning 44 NCC titles and 4 NCAA Division II titles. UNO fielded a Division I hockey team in 1997 before joining the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in the 1999-2000 season. The University of Nebraska at Omaha is proud to host the NCAA Division II National Wrestling tournament for the fourth time since 1980.
